“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk
humbly with your God.”
Micah 6:8
To live for Christ while teaching and spreading God’s Word for today. Because the Word ministers to individuals and families in all seasons of life, we embrace God’s commission to encourage the development of positive and fulfilling relationships with Christ and with one another in the Word for our day.
Pastor Barry Coffey has always emphasized a balanced approach to ministry. Teaching on being born again in Christ Jesus, character, relationship with Christ, family, marriage and reaching beyond the walls of our church to spread the Message of the Hour worldwide.
2 Timothy 3:16, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness”. Without something solid to believe in, we are susceptible to believe in anything, this is true. We need an absolute, something we can rely on. The Scripture is our absolute. We believe it is God's heart opening up to His people, so we read it like a love letter.
Another reason the Scripture is our absolute is because we see things that were prophesied thousands of years ago coming true. Not only this but from its Truth our lives are being transformed. It is our absolute.
Has your absolute changed your life?
1 Corinthians 15:3-4, "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
We believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the power and demonstration of the Holy Spirit. God wants to reveal Himself to His people, and He does that by revealing Himself through Scripture and through individuals.
The Gospel is that Jesus was crucified and rose from the dead by this power, and in demonstration is alive in us today living in our hearts. He died for you and rose again to show you His Spirit living in you is the power to transform you.
He loves you, and He wants you to be saved.
Nicodemus asked Jesus what do we need to do to see the Kingdom of God, and He responded, “Be baptized in water and be born again in the Spirit” John 3:5.
It is the exact same for us today. We need to know the Lord Jesus in a personal relationship so that He can lead and guide us into all truth. God is the one to reveal Himself to you, and a New Birth in Christ is a personal revelation of who He is to you. Knowing that He redeemed you and He paid for your sin and saved you. When His Spirit comes into your heart in a real experience, He will lead and guide you.
Are you born again?
We believe that we are living near the very end of time, simply because the Bible tells us how to know for sure that it is the end time.
In 2 Timothy 3, the Apostle Paul prophesied that the last days would be perilous times, and gave us a list of things the world would be doing, and they are doing them.
Jesus said Himself that in the last days it would be like it was in the time of Sodom and Gormorah, and we can see the whole world is falling into that.
Being that it is the last days, there are certain things the Scripture says needs to happen, we follow the Scripture as God reveals Himself to His people.
Revelations 10:7 tells us that an angel, the seventh angel, will sound and the mystery of God would be finished. Well, we find in Daniel 12:9 that there were things Daniel saw that couldn’t be revealed until the end. Malachi 4:5-6 tells us that something else needs to happen at the end time, the spirit of Elijah will return again. It is basic Scripture something has to happen in the last days.
The interesting thing about this “angel” or “messenger" to reveal things in the last day, is that nobody is supposed to worship him, or idolize him, in fact, he bows out so that Christ is magnified. This angel reveals that Christ is the mystery of God revealed.
We believe this messenger was William Branham. We look at the Scripture and we see what went on during his ministry up until 1965, and we see a perfect match. We believe that God interprets His own Word.
If you walk into almost any seminary, church, or Christian home today you will hear the word, “Trinity” in reference to the Godhead, the divinity of God (Or what the divine nature of God really is). But this idea of the Trinity, that God is three separate persons making up the Godhead, we find is not consistent with Scripture. Crazy we know, because all of Christendom seems to be preaching the Trinity doctrine as absolute truth.
But God never said he was three separate persons, but He did consistently say He was one, manifested in different forms throughout major events in History. Deut 6:4, “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord”. Jesus later would say in John 10:30, "I and my Father are one.” This was God manifesting Himself as God in His son, Jesus Christ.
He would later say to His disciple Phillip, in John 14:10, "Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.” God is one person of the Lord Jesus Christ, manifesting Himself as Jehovah of the Old Testament, Jesus of the New Testament, and the Holy Spirit down through the ages.
We believe that Jesus Christ was crucified for our sins, died and rose again the third day to show that He is alive in us. His Holy Spirit is in our souls now sealing us into Christ until the day of our redemption. A person who has this experience with the Lord of being born again is someone walking by faith.
We find in 1 John 1:5-7, that someone can only have access to this saving power of God’s own life if they walk in the light as He is in the light. The light is the Truth, because God is light, and when God’s light shines forth it is the very Truth we all search for. The Message of the hour is the light because the Scripture prophesies that there would come a messenger at the last day, and the, "mysteries of God should be finished”. This is entirely Scriptural based, not a revelation outside of Scripture, it is a further revealing of Scripture.
God is the interpreter of His own Word. That is why the Holy Spirit operating in our hearts is what we seek. If you want to have a stronger friendship and relationship with Jesus Christ, then come join us as we seek the same. We are all individuals saved by the grace of Jesus Christ.
